A Foreign Service Officer in London tries to prevent a terrorist attack set to hit New York City, but is forced to go on the run when she is framed for crimes she did not commit. Entrusted with the task of spotting any potential terrorists and chemical specialists who try to get a visa, Kate Abbott, the genius newly-recruited security officer at the U.S. Embassy in London, senses there's something off with the Romanian doctor, Emil Balan; however, her concerns are dismissed by her boss. But, then, after a devastating bombing attack in the heart of the city, Kate will surprisingly find herself in the spotlight and on the wrong side of the law, while at the same time, targeted by the international assassin known only as the Watchmaker. Can Kate unearth the conspiracy and make it in one piece before a new act of terrorism strikes the metropolis? With way more holes in in than Swiss cheese this hokum is trite trash at best. The film squanders a great cast with a script that should never have been green lighted and then proceeds to go to some laughably illogical places.<br/><br/>The performances are fine and I even watched the whole thing - but honestly, it was tough going when half the time your brain is going "What? Why? How?" <br/><br/>The theme of thwarting the terrorist mega-plot is a good one, but making it into a bad episode of CSI/24 is not.<br/><br/>Honestly? Only worth your time if you absolutely will watch any spy film. After watching this i can tell you that the spectators are also dead… of boredom, only the quickest to identify the turkey from the first ten minutes and quit the theater can survive; in fact the real survivors are us…<br/><br/>so if u were planning to go watch this movie i suggest you to go watch a wall for 1hour and half; trust me its going to be more fun, at least you will keep your money. <br/><br/>IMDb is obliging me to write at least 10 lines and with my average English its going to be tough, so imagine your cat or dog watching this movie with you at home he will be like hypnotized for a moment then he will jump out of the window, trust me do not try this a home. Fans of Jovovich’s Resident Evil series know the pleasures inherent in watching her sprint hither and yon. That’s about the only thrill provided by Survivor.
